Hello! We’re Diane and Chris Reed, creators of Monkey Bars Design.  We can’t remember exactly when we came up with the idea for art-based school fundraising products, but we think it was somewhere between the annual giftwrap/cookie dough/mixed nuts fundraisers our kids’ schools do year after year after year…. 

Diane: My career as a public relations and marketing professional has included promoting cartoon properties like Peanuts and Garfield, museums, children’s books, concert choirs, and more. But my dream has always been to promote something closer to home and my heart!  I didn’t have to look far for inspiration. My husband Chris Reed is in the business of creating illustrations for books, magazines, newspapers, textiles, games, and more, as well as wonderfully original products for our three children (crazy birthday T-shirts are a tradition in our house!). 

Chris: While I thrive on the challenge of creating original artwork for clients that helps illustrate the essence of a magazine article or enhances an advertisement, I have the most fun drawing and designing for family, friends, and myself. These products were created with that sensibility. Have fun, read good books, express yourself!
